This year as every year, Willy and Liliane Heremans provide a flawless organization, which allows to run four qualifications rounds instead of the usual three, giving the drivers more opportunities to improve their lap times, on this very technical track that demands a lot of concentration and consistency in order to find and keep the good rhythm. During the first qualification round, the track is still wet from the morning dew, but will dry quickly with the nice and sunny weather, to keep a constant, but not too high, grip level all day long.

In Pro2 qualifying, Géry Ledocq (Kyosho SC6) is on a class of his own, and easily secures TQ as he wins three rounds. He has to retire on second round due to transmission issues, this one being won by Nicolas Evens (TLR 22SCT) who has some difficulties to find the right setup. Stéphane Lecomte (Associated SC5M) recovers from a bad tyres choice on the first round, and finishes all the other ones behind Nicolas to grab the third spot on the grid.

Pro2 A Main grid – Top 3
1. Sam Damman (Losi Ten-SCTE) shows a good consistency by finishing all rounds at the third place, therefore completing the top 3 qualifiers.

Pro4 A Main grid – Top 3
1. Behind them, the battle is open for third place, as Stéphane causes a collision with Tom Vercarre (TLR 22SCT) after a few corners. While Stéphane waits for Tom to recover, Guillaume Laffut (TeamC TM2SC) grabs the third position, and despite pressure from Stéphane and Tom all race long, he will keep cool and drive nicely and consistently to maintain his position until the finish line, while Géry wins this round with a clear 9 seconds gap in front of Nicolas. The second round is spoiled with bad luck: on second lap, Guillaume has to pull over, with transmission failure. The lap after, it’s Nicolas’ turn to retire, as he looses a wheel! Géry takes the win easily with more than 25 seconds clearance from Stéphane. Edouard-Benoît Michez (Associated SC5M) takes a well deserved third place after putting some pressure on Stéphane during the first half of the race. After his two wins, Géry decides not to run the third round. In the first laps, Stéphane manages somehow to keep a good pace right behind Nicolas until this one slowly but surely pulls away to win with a 7 seconds gap. The third place is disputed closely between Tom Vercarre, Guillaume Laffut and Eric Clerix (Durango DESC210), all three finishing in this order with respective 4 and 1 second gaps. This is how the day ends in Pro2 with an overall classification victory for Géry Ledocq, second place for Nicolas Evens and third for Stéphane Lecomte.

Pro2 A Main
1. Fabio Cumbs (Losi Ten-SCTE) is the third man on this round, 5 seconds later. Second round is also Nicolas’ property, once again completing 13 laps. The battle for second position is incredible and ends up with the smallest gap ever seen in the SCT Cup, as Sam Damman crosses the finish line only 23 thousands of a second in front of Sam Puttevils. Well, maybe the transponder location on the rig has some importance, after all! The closer to the front end, the better. With two wins and the first place secured for the day, Nicolas decides not to run the third A-Final, which allows the two Sam and Fabio to have a last on-track battle for the final podium positions. At the end of the game, Sam Puttevils wins with a comfortable 10 seconds lead, earning the second spot of the overall day classification. The third step of this day’s podium is the property of Sam Damman as he takes second place only 3 seconds ahead of Fabio.

Pro4 A Main
1.
